About Na Fianna
Na Fianna was founded in 1997 by women, for women. In its 25th season, the Club continues to bring together a group of passionate, athletic women of all ages who win together on and off field. “Na Fianna” translates to “The Warriors” in Irish and our strong team spirit is all about women playing sport in a fun and competitive environment. We are the only ladies Gaelic Club in San Diego and we represent San Diego in the Southwest Division of the U.S. Gaelic Athletic Association.
Na Fianna Gaelic Football Club recently changed to Na Fianna Ladies Gaelic Athletic Club and has added the sport of Camogie to the club. Na Fianna is will be sending a Junior Football and Camogie team to the USGAA Finals in Denver, Colorado this August.
The Club is also excited to return to the West Coast Sevens tournament in San Diego this May by submitting a camogie team as well as three Ladies Gaelic football teams, one Junior A and two Junior C division teams. Clearly, the Club is growing… and growing strong.

20+ Years of Winning and Having Fun!
When we began, Na Fianna had one hope: to broaden the recognition and knowledge of the sport of Ladies Gaelic football in San Diego by generating an interest in the game and the Irish traditions upon which it is based. Now, many years later, Na Fianna is still going strong and continues to expand women’s Gaelic games in San Diego along with the community’s understanding of those games and customs. The club has grown into a championship winning side but still focuses on inspiring woman of all ages to engage in both sport and the community.
